Kickstart your Lapland adventure with our Taste of Snowmobiling for Adults—a one-hour experience designed as the perfect introduction to the thrill of snowmobiling. Think of it as a taste of snowmobiling for the big kid in all of us: exciting, a little adventurous, and guaranteed to leave you wanting more.

Departing from Wild Nordic’s Safari Center, conveniently located beside Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, this guided tour takes you into the scenic surroundings of the Arctic Circle. After a brief introduction and safety briefing, you’ll hop onto your snowmobile and set off along scenic trails that wind through snow-laden forests and across frozen, snow-covered swamps.

This tour is designed specifically for adults, making it an ideal option for those who want a fun, easy-going ride without committing to a longer safari. Whether you’re a first-time rider or simply looking for a quick Arctic boost of excitement, this experience offers just the right balance of excitement and accessibility.

As you glide through the crisp Arctic air, you’ll enjoy the rhythm of the ride while taking in the peaceful beauty of the surrounding forests and open marshlands. Your guide will lead the way, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey while you focus on the experience.

What's included?
    • Return transfers from Rovaniemi city centre meeting point, Ounasvaara hotels, Invisible Forest Lodge and Arctic Treehouse Hotel.
    • Use of thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woolen socks, a balaclava and helmet).
    • Professional guide
    • Snowmobile driving includes instructions and a safety briefing. The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 30 - 40 minutes.
    • Short stops throughout the tour to take photos of the beautiful scenery
    • Guidance is in English, other languages on request.
    • Snowmobile tours start and end in Wild Nordic Safari Center (Joulupukintie 1) located next to Santa Claus Village. You can skip the return transfer and continue your visit to Santa.

        •  Minimum of 2 persons paying the adult price
        •  All snowmobiles used on tours are insured as required by Finnish law. The self liability flat rate can be reduced to 200€ per driver/accident case by purchasing a self liability waiver from Wild Nordic for 20 €/driver for the shorter (1-4 hour) safaris and for 30 €/driver for the longer (5-8 hour) safaris.

        •  Operated from 1st of December to 31st of December
        •  Will not be operated in insufficient snow conditions
        •  Pregnant women should not ride on the snowmobile or the sledge pulled by the snowmobile as the vibrations and exhaust fumes may be harmful to the human body
        What to bring
          • The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver license – B category (please check that it is valid in Finland!). For all the activities including snowmobiling we ask you to take your driving licenses with you. The driver's license must be physically present ( A DIGITAL VERSION OR PHOTO IS NOT ENOUGH) and written in roman letters.
