Snowmobile tour: 4 hour Snowmobile Safari to the Fells in Levi

Join us for an unforgettable 4-hour snowmobile safari through the breathtaking fells and forests of Levi, Lapland!

This longer tour is perfect for those seeking more adventure and more time on the trails. Ride beyond the usual safari routes as we journey towards the picturesque fells near Levi, crossing snowy forests, open swamps, and stunning Arctic landscapes. This tour is the most scenic option of our adult-only tours and also our guide favourite!

We’ll make several stops along the way to admire the beautiful frozen scenery and capture amazing photos. During the tour, you’ll enjoy a warm coffee break at a cozy local cafeteria or traditional Lapp tent, where hot drinks and Finnish buns are served. After the break, we continue our snowmobile adventure back towards Levi along scenic winter trails. Single driving is highly recommended for the best experience.

The driving time is approximately 3 - 3.5 hours and the driving distance depends on the driving skills of the group. You will stay outdoors for about 4 hours and have a long snowmobile ride.

Two adults ride on one snowmobile, single riding is possible for an extra charge. Single riding is highly recommended due to the nature and duration of the tour. This tour is not suitable for children under 140cm. Children over 140cm may join the tour as a passenger on the snowmobile, when paying the adult price.

The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B driver’s license. Customers intending to drive a snowmobile must bring their driving license with them on the tour. According to Finnish traffic regulations, copies, photographs or digital licenses cannot be accepted. If you do not bring your physical driving license you won't be able to drive and no refund can be offered.

What's included?

Use of thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woollen socks, a balaclava and helmet).
Hot drink and a bun.
Snowmobile driving includes instructions and a safety briefing. Two adults ride on one snowmobile. The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 3 - 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Short stops throughout the tour to take photos of the beautiful scenery.
Guidance is in English, other languages on request.

Meeting time: 30 minutes before the start of your tour.
Meeting point: Wild Nordic Levi Safari Center, Tunturitie 2, 99130 Kittilä.
Transfers to and from this activity are included. If you do not have your own transportation and you wish to be picked up from Levi centre, please choose “pick-up” when making a booking. The pick-up meeting point is in front of the Levi Tourist Information office at Myllyjoentie 2, 99130 Kittilä. The transfer departs 30 minutes before the start of the tour.

We operate our snowmobile tours in small groups, with a maximum of 6–7 snowmobiles per guide.

Snowmobile tours are not suitable for pregnant women due to vibrations as a result of uneven tracks, and the presence of exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.
The driver of the snowmobile is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. The self liability amount for any damage is a flat rate of 900€. By purchasing an additional self liability waiver for 20€/driver you can reduce the self liability flat rate to 200€/driver/accident case.
