Snowmobile tour: 4 hour Safari with Ice Fishing in Levi

Combine two of Lapland’s favorite winter activities, snowmobiling and ice fishing, on this special 4-hour adventure in Levi!

Ride snowmobiles through breathtaking Arctic trails, deep into the peaceful wilderness. Your guide will lead you to a beautiful frozen lake or river, where you’ll learn the traditional art of ice fishing. First, drill your hole through the thick ice, then relax, enjoy the silence, and try your luck at catching fish beneath the surface. During the experience, we’ll warm up with delicious hot drinks and sweet Finnish buns before riding our snowmobiles back toward Levi. This tour is a must-do for those seeking an authentic Arctic adventure!

The driving time is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours and the driving distance depends on the driving skills of the group. You will stay outdoors for about 4 hours and have a long, moderately challenging snowmobile ride.

Two adults ride on one snowmobile, single riding is possible for an extra charge. Single riding is highly recommended due to the nature and duration of the tour. This tour is not suitable for children under 140cm. Children over 140cm may join the tour as a passenger on the snowmobile, when paying the adult price.

The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B driver’s license. Customers intending to drive a snowmobile must bring their driving license with them on the tour. According to Finnish traffic regulations, copies, photographs or digital licenses cannot be accepted. If you do not bring your physical driving license you won't be able to drive and no refund can be offered.

What's included?

Use of thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woollen socks, a balaclava and helmet).
Hot drink and a bun.
Traditional Ice Fishing experience by a lake.
Snowmobile driving includes instructions and a safety briefing. Two adults ride on one snowmobile. The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 2,5 - 3 hours.
Short stops throughout the tour to take photos of the beautiful scenery.
Guidance is in English, other languages on request.

Meeting time: 30 minutes before the start of your tour.
Meeting point: Wild Nordic Levi Safari Center, Tunturitie 2, 99130 Kittilä.
Transfers to and from this activity are included. If you do not have your own transportation and you wish to be picked up from Levi centre, please choose “pick-up” when making a booking. The pick-up meeting point is in front of the Levi Tourist Information office at Myllyjoentie 2, 99130 Kittilä. The transfer departs 30 minutes before the start of the tour.

We operate our snowmobile tours in small groups, with a maximum of 6–7 snowmobiles per guide.

Wild Nordic has 0 tolerance for alcohol and drugs during the activities.
Snowmobile tours are not suitable for pregnant women due to vibrations as a result of uneven tracks, and the presence of exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.
The driver of the snowmobile is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. The self liability amount for any damage is a flat rate of 900€. By purchasing an additional self liability waiver for 20€/driver you can reduce the self liability flat rate to 200€/driver/accident case.
