Snowmobile tour: 3 Hour Safari around Levi to an Authentic Lapp Café

This longer snowmobile safari takes you on a scenic journey around the Levi Fell and offers an authentic taste of local hospitality!

Ride with us on breathtaking trails that pass through snowy forests and over vast open swamps. We will enjoy ever changing winter scenery as we make our way through the Lapland wilderness. Midway through the adventure we make a stop at a cosy, traditional Lappish café or Lappish tent to warm up with hot drinks and a delicious local snack. If conditions allow, we may even reach the top of the fell for unforgettable views. This tour is a perfect Arctic adventure for anyone wanting to experience the spectacular nature of Lapland and get some great photos along the way!

Duration of the program is 3 hours, including preparations. The driving time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes and the driving distance depends on the driving skills of the group.

Two adults ride on one snowmobile, single riding is possible for an extra charge.

Children 4 - 14 years will travel in a sleigh pulled behind the guide's snowmobile when child price is paid. Please note, that we do not recommend snowmobile safaris for children under 4 years for their own comfort and safety.

Children over 140 cm can sit on a snowmobile, when paying adult price for the tour.

The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B driver’s license. Customers intending to drive a snowmobile must bring their driving license with them on the tour. According to Finnish traffic regulations, copies, photographs or digital licenses cannot be accepted. If you do not bring your physical driving license you won't be able to drive and no refund can be offered.

What's included?

Use of thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woollen socks, a balaclava and helmet).
Hot drinks and a bun.
Snowmobile driving includes instructions and a safety briefing. Two adults ride on one snowmobile. The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Short stops throughout the tour to take photos of the beautiful scenery.
Guidance is in English, other languages on request.

Meeting time: 30 minutes before the start of your tour.
Meeting point: Wild Nordic Levi Safari Center, Tunturitie 2, 99130 Kittilä.
Transfers to and from this activity are included. If you do not have your own transportation and you wish to be picked up from Levi centre, please choose “pick-up” when making a booking. The pick-up meeting point is in front of the Levi Tourist Information office at Myllyjoentie 2, 99130 Kittilä. The transfer departs 30 minutes before the start of the tour.

We operate our snowmobile tours in small groups, with a maximum of 6–7 snowmobiles per guide.

Wild Nordic has 0 tolerance for alcohol and drugs during the activities.
Snowmobile tours are not suitable for pregnant women due to vibrations as a result of uneven tracks, and the presence of exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.
The driver of the snowmobile is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. The self liability amount for any damage is a flat rate of 900€. By purchasing an additional self liability waiver for 20€/driver you can reduce the self liability flat rate to 200€/driver/accident case.
