Snowmobile Safari into the Arctic Circle Forest

Explore the Arctic Circle forest trails with your very own snowmobile and a knowledgeable guide, who will take you to the most beautiful spots for memorable photos.

This snowmobile tour is made for anyone who would like to have a bit more than just a taste of it. This safari is a beginners’ and family friendly activity that goes at a comfortable slow paced speed, adapting to all participants. You will enjoy the beautiful wintry scenery around the Arctic Circle area whilst driving through the local forests - single driving is possible, if anyone wishes to enjoy their own snowmobile.

The duration of the program is 2 hours, including preparations. The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 1 hour and 30 - 40 minutes. Two adults ride on one snowmobile, there is an option of single riding for an extra charge. There will be an opportunity to switch drivers during one of the several stops we make. Children are traveling in the sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile.

Snowmobile tours start and end in Wild Nordic Safari Center (Joulupukintie 1) located next to Santa Claus Village. You can skip the return transfer and continue your visit to Santa.

        • Minimum of 2 persons paying the adult price
        • All snowmobiles used on tours are insured as required by Finnish law. The self liability flat rate can be reduced to 200€ per driver/accident case by purchasing a self liability waiver from Wild Nordic for 20 €/driver for the shorter (1-4 hour) safaris and for 30 €/driver for the longer (5-8 hour) safaris.
        • Available daily at 09:00, 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00 in December and 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00 from January on
        • Operated 1st December - 31th March
        • The driver of a snowmobile must have a driving license which is valid in Finland.  Please bring your driving license with you.
        • Wild Nordic has 0 tolerance for alcohol and drugs during the activities
        • Will not be operated in insufficient snow conditions
        • Pregnant women should not ride on the snowmobile or the sledge pulled by the snowmobile as the vibrations and exhaust fumes may be harmful to the human body.
        What to bring
          • The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver license – B category (please check that it is valid in Finland!). For all the activities including snowmobiling we ask you to take your driving licenses with you. The driver's license must be physically present ( A DIGITAL VERSION OR PHOTO IS NOT ENOUGH) and written in roman letters.
