Northern Lights Kick Sled Adventure with Reindeer & Wilderness Kota

3 hours and 30 minutes

Easy

Meet our reindeer, then head by kick sled with lanterns onto a frozen lake to search for the Northern Lights. Warm up in a cozy kota with hot berry juice and an option to grill sausages.

Northern Lights Kick Sled & Kota Experience

Step into a truly local Lapland night that combines reindeer, traditional kick sledding, and an unforgettable Northern Lights atmosphere. After pickup from Levi, you’ll arrive at our cozy yard where you can meet our reindeer and take photos before we head out into the Arctic darkness.

Your guide will provide a short safety briefing and introduce the kick sleds and lanterns. Then we’ll glide from the yard to the frozen lake, carrying lanterns that add a warm glow to the winter night. On the open lake ice, away from light pollution, we begin our calm and atmospheric Northern Lights hunt—moving at an easy pace with time to pause, watch the sky, and enjoy the quiet beauty of Lapland.

To keep the experience comfortable, you can warm up in a traditional outdoor kota. Enjoy hot berry juice by the fire and, if you wish, grill sausages in true Lapland style. This experience is designed to feel intimate, authentic, and magical—an ideal alternative to standard bus-based aurora tours.

Please note that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, but our guide will always aim to maximize your chances based on weather and sky conditions.
