Levi: Private Yurt Sauna, Ice Swimming & Arctic Village

Travel from Levi by coach for a private wood-fired yurt sauna and ice-swimming experience for 1–10 guests, with time to explore the Arctic Village.

Leave central Levi aboard the Arctic Shaman Adventures coach and travel approximately 15 minutes into the peaceful winter landscape of Rauduskylä.

Your group will have the handcrafted yurt sauna, private changing room and ice-swimming hole entirely to yourselves. The private reservation lasts two hours and accommodates 1–10 guests.

The wood-fired sauna will be warm and ready when you arrive. Towels and sauna seat covers are provided. There is no conventional shower: washing takes place in the traditional Finnish way using fresh carried water and hot water from the sauna stove tank.

Move between the gentle heat of the sauna and the unforgettable freshness of the ice hole, then warm up and relax in complete privacy. During evening sessions, the dark location also offers an excellent opportunity to see the Northern Lights, although the aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.

Your visit can be much more than the private sauna session. You may arrive on an earlier coach or return to Levi on a later coach to spend more time in the Arctic Village. Depending on availability and conditions, you can rent snowshoes or ice skates, see the reindeer and husky puppies, visit the lakeside kota, order drinks from the Ice Bar or combine your visit with a separately booked three-course yurt dinner.

The scheduled experience, including direct coach transfers from and back to Levi, lasts approximately 2.5 hours. Guests choosing an earlier arrival or later return may enjoy a longer Arctic Village experience.

    • Winter conditions include a short walk on snow and ice; the experience is not wheelchair or stroller accessible
    • Maximum 10 guests per private session
    • Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult
    • Ice swimming is optional, and guests enter the water at their own responsibility
    • Guests with heart or respiratory conditions, high or low blood pressure, or during pregnancy should consult a healthcare professional before using the sauna or ice-swimming hole
    • Alcoholic drinks may be purchased from the licensed bar; outside alcohol and glassware are not permitted
    • Intoxicated guests cannot use the sauna or ice-swimming hole
    • Arrive at the Burger King Levi meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled shuttle departure
    • Self-driving guests should arrive 10 minutes before the session; late arrival shortens the private sauna time
    • The traditional yurt sauna has no shower; washing is done with carried water and hot water from the stove tank
    • Please do not use soap or shampoo in the lake
    • Service animals are welcome on site but cannot enter the hot sauna yurt
