Ice fishing in Lapland is a truly magical experience that combines the serenity of the frozen wilderness with the thrill of catching fish beneath a pristine layer of ice.

🌌 Step Into a Lapland Winter Dream:

Your adventure begins with a scenic 15-minute transfer from the meeting point into the quiet heart of the Lapland wilderness. As you leave town behind, the snowy landscape opens up around you — peaceful, untouched, and absolutely magical.

❄ Upon Arrival – Into the Wild

As you step off the transfer, you’ll find yourself surrounded by pure Arctic wilderness — snowy trees, frozen silence, and the crisp air of Lapland.

Your guide will greet you at the lakeside and give you everything you need to get started. You’ll receive clear, friendly instructions and be introduced to the traditional equipment we’ll use for ice fishing.

🎣 Learn Traditional Ice Fishing & Enjoy the Stillness

You’ll begin by drilling your own hole in the thick, crystal-clear ice using a traditional ice auger. No prior experience is needed — our knowledgeable guide will show you exactly what to do, from setting your line to reading the movements beneath the ice.

Ice fishing is a peaceful, slow-paced activity — a chance to disconnect and enjoy the silence of the Arctic. Time on the frozen lake is often described as calming, meditative, and deeply immersive.

If you're lucky and catch a fish, the experience gets even more exciting!

🔥 Warm Shelter, Salmon Soup & Fire-Grilled Catch

After fishing, warm up in our cozy wooden shelter, heated by a crackling wood fire. You’ll be served a delicious traditional salmon soup and a hot drink — a real Lapland comfort meal after time spent outdoors.

And if you caught a fish? You’ll have the unique chance to grill your own catch over an open fire at our outdoor cooking spot, surrounded by snowy trees. Our guide will help you prepare it — fresh, simple, and flavorful.

Prefer to take it home? No problem — you’re welcome to bring your fish with you as a tasty souvenir of your Arctic adventure.

🦌 A Touch of Lapland Wildlife

As you enjoy your time in nature, you may also spot reindeer wandering nearby or hear the sounds of huskies resting at a local kennel not far from the fishing site. These friendly animals aren't part of the tour but are often seen in the area — adding an unexpected, magical moment to your day.
